I have been missing in action for a while now, and I was surprised on Friday when a friend of mine mentioned that she had been missing my posts. To be honest, I've been missing writing too, but at the moment I am just trying to cram so much in to my life that Mark told me I was trying to do too much when he was driving us home tonight. He is right, I need to organise a weekly timetable for my life and stick to it, because at the moment thinking that I'll come home, take the dogs for a walk, do a load of washing, cook dinner and do wedding stuff all after a day at work is just setting myself up to fail. And that makes me a miserable cow.

I am one month in to an amazing new job where I am loving the people and my responsibilities, but naturally there is an adjustment phase and I'm willfully putting in a few extra hours here and there in an attempt to perform at the standard I expect from myself. The best part is that my efforts haven't gone unnoticed and my boss and colleague who I am working on a project with told me today that I was doing a great job. It is such a small thing to do and say, but it really made me feel good. It's nice when your efforts don't go unnoticed.

On top of starting a new job four weeks ago, Mark and I only have eight weeks until our wedding, so the last minute planning is being a little demanding. I had the venue, celebrant and band organised ages ago, we booked a great photographer in the first week of January and we think we probably have a florist organised now. It might seem odd to some girls, but the florist and cake still aren't organised as I planned on using the leave I had saved up from my old job to DIY those things, but that is no longer an option.

I'm still managing to get to the gym at 5:30am twice a week, but my running training is suffering, so the Sun Run is going to be a very big challenge, the countdown clock that reads 4 days and 11 hours is really freaking me out.
